About Weeda Hamdan
Where the most common places become uncommon
Born in Monrovia, Liberia, I have lived in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain, and Lebanon with my beloved parents and siblings. The diverse traditions of each country have profoundly influenced my design, art, and deep appreciation for culture and people.
My passion for drawing began at the early age of 12 while we were sheltered from war. The bunker we moved into, once my grandfather's cowshed, had musky, deep stone walls that protected us from explosions. After sharing a meal with thirty or more family members, I would sit upright, cross-legged, with a sketchpad and pencil on my lap. In the complete darkness around me, my family members propped against each other, surrounded by the extensive stone walls, and rested on the rugged ground. This environment sparked my early creativity and dedication to my craft.
Now, my work includes COVID paintings USA for sale online and anatomy body painting, showcasing the depth and versatility of my artistic journey.
